TAYLOR, SR. TAYLOR – Funeral services for Pleasant Thomas Taylor Sr., 58, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Springfield Baptist Church, First and Liberty streets, with Rev. Charles L. Merchant, pastor, and Rev. John Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rev. McCabe Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street. Mr. Taylor, Who lived at 2025 Fienca Avenue, died in a Tallahassee Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Nashville, Ga. He was a Baptist and a member of Ionic Lodge 101 F and AM, the Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Woodmen of the World Camp 403. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nettie F. Taylor of Jacksonville; his stepmother, Mrs. Bessie Taylor of Douglas, Ga.; a son, Pleasant T. Taylor, Jr.; a half-brother, James L. Taylor of New Orleans; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two aunts and two uncles; all of Nashville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Albert W. Hofmeister, Herman F. Diz, Jesse Crawford, Edward Clary, Harold D. Mayo and Julian Deakle. Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Durrance, M. L. McGinnis, John H. Orr, Houston Hodges, A. Maxwell Wilson and Robert Lundquist.
