He was born July 13, 1924, in Berrien County to the late Carlie M. and Mae Swindle Taylor. He was retired Civil Service with Moody Air Force Base and a member of Ray City First Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army in WWII. He was the widower of Emma Lou “Pat” Clements Taylor who died on March 21, 2005. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Suzanne Taylor of Fernandina Beach, FL; granddaughter, Natalie (Shawn) Cochran of Salisbury, NC; great-granddaughter, Emilyn Cochran; great-grandson, Jackson Cochran; caregiver and long-time friend, Cynthia Davis. Funeral services were held March 19 at 11 a.m. at Ray City First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Peavy officiating. Entombment followed at Beaver Dam Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
