Born Sept. 18, 1964, in Berrien County to Elizabeth Fender Thomas of Nashville and the late Charles Norman “Buddy” Thomas, he was a heavy equipment operator. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Kimberly Michelle Rigdon Rigdon Thomas of Nashville; daughter, Erika Thomas of Lakeland; son and daughter-in-law, Zach and Melissa Thomas of Nashville; stepson, D.J. Blount, J Jr. of Nashville; sister, Missy Thomas of Enigma; mother of his children, C Carolyn Thomas of Lakeland; four grandchildren, Levi Dalton Thomas, Dustin B Blount, Kenya Blount, Elliana Thomas. Funeral services were held Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Raymond Cason and Shawn Suggs officiating. Musical selections included “I Will Stand By You,” “That’s My Job” and “You Can Let Go.” Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kevin Thomas, Payne Rowland, Kent Music, Mitch Griffin, Bryan V Vaughn, Jim Hall, Joe Bob Day, Perry Connell. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
