 Charles Windell Thomas, 70, of Alapaha died Oct. 16, 2004 at Tift Regional 
Medical Center in Tifton.

 Born April 17, 1934 in Palm Beach County, FL, he was the son of the late Allen 
Vinson and Bertha Stanford Thomas. He was a truck driver.

 Survivors include one daughter, Hazel Thomas of Alapaha; one son, Charles 
Windell Thomas, Jr. of Alapaha; one sister, Veda Mae Whorton of Lebanon, TX; 
three brothers, Loren Thomas of Wauchula, FL, George Thomas of Bristol, IN and 
James Thomas of Nashville; five grandchildren.

 A graveside service was held on Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery 
with Rev. Mike Gibbs officiating. Music included "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Go 
Rest High on That Mountain."

 Selected family members served as pallbearers.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
