He was born Jan. 4, 1934 in Levy County, FL to the late George and Julie Mae Farman Thompson. He was a retired textile machinist and member of Alapaha Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Helen Joyce King Thompson of Nashville; daughter and son-in-law, Candy Renee and Craig Reliford of Nashville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bill and Holly Ritter and Chris Thompson, all of Nashville; sister, Kathleen Henry of Perry, FL. three brothers, Donald Mosley, Billy Mosley and Dean Mosley, all of Perry; four grandchildren, Hannah Ritter, Hope Ritter, Stormy Sepeda, Sara Sepeda. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vonnie Carroll, and two brothers, George Thompson and Bobby Thompson Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 24 at Alapaha Church of God with Rev. Kenneth Kicklighter officiating. The church choir sang "The Anchor Holds," "Lights of Home," "Robe and Crown" and "Amazing Grace." Burial was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Johnny Welch, Jr., William Jones, Lee Jones, Jr., Jamey Jones, Edward Connell, Michael Connell. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
