The Berrien Press -- Fred N. Tittle Jr., 82, of Nashville died November 27, 
2002 at his residence.

 Born October 24, 1920 in Berrien County to the late Fred Newton and Bessie 
Belle Tittle, he made his home in the Florida Keys before retiring to Nashville.

 He was a retired lawyer in Marathon, FL and Key Largo, FL serving as Monroe 
County Attorney, attorney for the Monroe County Zoning Board, attorney for the 
Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Association, magistrate for the City of Key 
Colony Beach, FL, past president of the Marathon Kiwanis Club, past member of 
the Florida House of Representative, and president of Fisherman's Hospital. He 
was also a member of BPOE and First Baptist Churches of Marathon and 
Islamorada. He was a fighter pilot in the Army Air Corps during WWII.

 Survivors include his wife, Frances May Gatewood Tittle of Nashville; two 
daughters, Judy Day and Joyce Dorman, both of Palm City, FL; three sons, 
Charles Tittle of Ovieda, FL, Fred N. Tittle, III and Mark Tittle, both of 
Woodstock; one brother, Mack Tittle of Lady Lakes, FL; six grandchildren, eight 
great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held November 29 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with Rev. L. C. Hughes officiating.

 Interment was in Old City Cemetery.

 Pallbearers were Chuck Tittle, Fred Tittle III, John Day, Butch Adams, 
Herschel Robinson, Mike Pafford.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
