  Fern Turner, 79, of Nashville died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at South 
Georgia Medical Center.
 She was born January 11, 1936, in Bay Minette, AL to the late Nadan and Eva 
Adams Johnson. She was a homemaker and a retired Registered nurse with Civil 
Service at Moody Air Force Base for 30 years. She was preceded in death by a 
brother, Lane Johnson.
 She is survived by her husband, Walter “Bill” Turner of Nashville; son, Walt 
(Lori) Turner of Valdosta; daughter, Dana Turner of Naples, FL; brother, Coleman 
Johnson of Bay Minette, AL; two grandchildren, John Michael Beaumont and James 
Mitchell.
 A graveside funeral service was held March 1 at 2 p.m. in Nashville Memorial 
Gardens with Mr. Tom Thomas, Sr. officiating.
 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 
at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
