 Sonya Denise Uzzell, 46, of Nashville died Dec. 12, 2009 at her residence.
 Born June 9, 1963 in Conway County, Arkansas, to Barbara Jean Butler McFarland 
of Pembroke and the late James Franklin Uzzell, she was a retired master 
sergeant in the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service. She participated in 
Desert Storm and Desert Shield. She was a member of the Yuba City, California, 
United Methodist Church.
 Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a sister and brother-in-law, 
Cherlynn Kaye and John Boyer of Safety Harbor, FL; a niece, Savannah Marie 
Boyer; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
 The family has honored her request for cremation.
 A memorial service with full military honors was held Dec. 19 at 11 a.m. in 
the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Luke officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
