The Berrien Press -- Howard Carlton Vickers, 89, of West Berrien died August 
6, 2007 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper, FL.
 Born January 11, 1918 in Berrien County to the late Ben and Mattie Moore 
Vickers, he was a retired farmer and a member of Vickers Church. He was 
married to Ethel Lee Browning Vickers, who died in 2006. They had been married 
68 years at the time of her death.
 Survivors include two daughters, Betty Sue McMillan of Jasper and Jean 
Vickers of West Berrien; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Dianne 
Vickers of West Berrien; three grandchildren, Becky (Jake) Adams, Ben Vickers, 
Guy Vickers; one great-granddaughter, Callie Adams.
 Funeral services were held August 8 at 10 a.m. at Vickers Church with the 
Revs. Ronnie Lawson, Virgil Lawson, Virgil Vickers and Bill Floyd officiating. 
Music as performed by The Paffords. accompanied by Linda Hall, pianist.
 Interment was in Vickers Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
