 Mr. William Lacy Vickers, age 78 of Nashville, GA passed away on Wednesday, 
April 22, 2009 at his residence. He was born Oct. 21, 1931 in Berrien County 
and the child of the late Auly Vickers-father and mother, Tishie Gaskins.
 Mr. Vickers was a retired farmer and civil service firefighter at moody Air 
Force Base. His wife was the late Carolyn Smith Vickers who died on July 14, 
2008.
 Mr. Vickers is survived by 2 sons; William Berrien Vickers, Waylon Clay 
Vickers, 2 brothers, Brent Vickers, James Vickers and several nieces and 
nephews. Mr. Vickers was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Elton Vickers and 
Wilbur Vickers. He is survived by one mother in law, Nellie H. Smith of 
Willacoochee.
 Services were held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Riverside 
Missionary Baptist Church. Ministers were Rev. Junior Swain and Rev. Skip Van 
Nus presiding over the service.
 Interment was followed at Riverside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers 
were Joe Bob Day, Jody Stone, Paul Nix, Bobby Hall, Paul Johnson and Billy 
Rowe.
 Lovein Funeral Home was responsible for funeral arrangements.
