  Carolyn S. Vickers, 63, of Nashville died July 14, 2008 at Langdale Hospice 
House.
  She was born on Dec. 7, 1944 in Irwin County to Nellie Harper Smith of 
Willacoochee and the late James Gordon Smith. She was a homemaker and attended 
Westwood Baptist Church in Ambrose.
  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, William L. Vickers 
of Nashville; sons, William Berrian Vickers, Waylon Clay Vickers, both of 
Nashville; brother, Wilson (Barbara) Smith, WIllacoochee; several nieces and 
nephews.
 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on July 17 at Riverside Missionary 
Baptist Church with the Revs. Elijah Purvis, Jr. and Kevin Stone officiating. 
The church choir sang "Amazing Grace" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus."
 Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Gree Harper, Rex Smith, Kelly Merritt, Elzie Harper, Jeff 
Trayham, Stanley Smith.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
