Born Feb. 3, 1952, in Berrien County to the late Emma Brogdon and Cager Vickers, Jr., he was self-employed owner of Super Shine Car Wash in Nashville. He atte He attended Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wif his wife, Janet Jewell Vickers, who died in 1990. Survivors include two sons, Russell Vickers and Marlon Vickers both of Nashvi Nashville; three brothers, Raymond Vickers of Valdosta, M.C. Vickers of Tifton, Ivan V Ivan Vickers of Lakeland; four grandchildren, Angel, Eaven, Dakota and Emily. Funeral services were held August 28 at 3 p.m. at Riverside Missionary Baptist Churc Church with the Revs. Jimmy Futch and Bob Holland officiating. Musical selec selections included "Amazing Grace," "Leaving On My Mind" and "Go Rest On That Mount Mountain." Interment was in Riverside Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jimmy Brogdon, Glenn Outlaw, James Griner, Wayne Hen Hendley, Jerry Brogdon, Scott James. Honorary pallbearers were Eston Outlaw, Greg Mauldin, Jay Umpleby, Randall Gr Griner.
