 Dolores Vickers, 79, of Alapaha died January 12, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical 
Center.
 She was born June 4, 1935, in Berrien County to the late Ira and Essie Harper 
Swilley. She was a homemaker, retired educator from the Berrien County Board of 
Education with 36 years of service and was a member of New Griffin Missionary 
Baptist Church.
 She is survived by her husband, Darward Vickers of Alapaha; daughter, Iris 
Heath of Alapaha; two sons, Chad Vickers and Iraman (Melissa) Vickers, both of 
Alapaha; two sisters, Carolyn Slovitz of Ocala, FL and Janice Walker of Alapaha; 
brother, James Swilley of Pineeview; seven grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held on January 16 and 11 a.m. at New Griffin Missionary 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Sim Youngblood and Rev. Billy Roberts officiating.
 Interment was in Mt. Paron Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
