He was born June 11, 1925 in Atkinson Co. He was the son of the late Ebb Walker and Mattie Hall Walker. He had lived all his life in Berrien County. He was a retired service station owner and operator. He was a member of the Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church, VFW, and former Nashville city councilman for 12 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, WWII, serving in Germany, France and Belgium. He is survived by his widow, Vickie Hunt Walker, Nashville; two daughters, Dixie Yarbrough, Crossland, Susan Luke, Tifton; two sons, Danny Walker, Iron City, Johnny Walker, Nashville; two sisters, Martha Singletary, Nashville, Sarah Walker, Elcajon, CA; nine grandchildren; a great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one son, David Walker, who died in 1949. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. today from the Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary James and the Rev. Jessie Stalvey officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery in Nashville. The body will lie in state at his residence until the hour of services.
