She was born in Tift County of August 30, 1943 to the late James Luma and Ruby Geraldine Purvis Wade. She was a member and clerk of Springhill Primitive Baptist Church in Cook County, a homemaker, and teacher's aide with the Berrien County Board of Education. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Walker of Nashville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Holly and Bill Ritter of Nashville and Rhonda and Ken Lewis of Adel; one brother, Ed Wade of Nashville; four grandchildren, Courtney and Dorsey Lewis and Hannah and Hope Ritter. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lillian Wade and a brother, James Luma Wade, Jr. Funeral services were held on September 3 at 4 p.m. at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church officiated by Elder Dwight Marshall and the Rev. Clarence Luke. The congregation sang appropriate music. Interment was in Springhill Cemetery in Cook County. Pallbearers were Billy Wade, Johnny Wade, James Wade, Johnny Giddens, Jeff Walker, Brock Moore. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
