He was born December 26, 1938, in Gentry, MO to the late Onas and Edith Harris Walker. He was a retired MSGT from the United States Air Force with 20 years- service, retired as the contractual airplane pilot for the J.H. Harvey Co., and was a member of Abundant Life Church of God. He had a deep passion for flying and also was an instructor to many. He was preceded by his first wife, Daphyne Walker, who died in 1997. He is survived by his wife, Mary Shealey Walker of Valdosta; two sons, Keith Walker of Jacksonville, FL and Rodney (Tina) Walker of Nashville; two stepdaughters, Sonya (Frank) Mayer of Valdosta and Susan (TR) Herrera of Valdosta; brother, Aubrey (Juanita) Walker of Gentry, MO; six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services were held December 19 at 2 p.m. at Abundant Life Church of God with the Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating. Interment with full military honors followed at Westview Cemetery. Lovein Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
