H. Warren, 67, of Nashville died February 16, 2008 at his residence. Born Oct. 2, 1940 in Berrien County to the late B.A. and Jeanette Taylor Warren, he was a former dispatcher and jail administrator with the Berrien County Sheriff's Office. He retired as director of the Berrien County Emergency Management Agency. He was a member and deacon of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Harris Warren of Nashville; two sons, Russell (Roni) Warren, Alapaha, and Michael (Rebecca) Warren, Nashville; three sisters, Ardella (Carl) Vedas, Valdosta, Domie Jean (Elijah) Stone, Nashville, and Ollene (Dorian) Osborne, Nashville; two brothers, Carlton (Dorothy) Warren, Nashville and Wayne (Joyce) Warren, Valdosta; three grandchildren, Michael (Cassandra) Murray, Blake Warren and Deidra Warren; one great- granddaughter, Kelsey Murray; seven nephews and four nieces. Funeral services were held Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. at Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. J.W. Dukes, III, Johnny Smith, Junior Swain and George O'Berry officiating. Deborah Boyd sang "When I've Traveled My Last Mile," and Buck Warren and Teresa Royals sang "Meet By the River." Linda Hall served as pianist. Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Marty Vedas, Ben Warren, Dan Osborne, Steve Osborne, Dave Stone, Donnie Warren, Eric Warren, Ricky Harris, Jody Dean. Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Kirkland, Wonnie Royals, Wendell Kent, Russell Mansfield, Buddy Exum, Daryl Lancaster, Doug Rutland, Rev. Mark Swain, Timmy Jernigan, James Griner, Steve Register, Ray Paul, Buck Pegg, Brad Kirkland, J.M. Kent. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
