Born September 25, 1932 in Berrien County to the late Mary Harris and James H. Warren, Jr., he was a retired service station owner/operator. He was a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Duncan Lodge F&AM, and Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Warren. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Royal Warren of Nashville; one son, J. W. Warren of Lakeland; three stepdaughters, Jo Ann Kibbey and Jean Benefield, both of Douglas, Lillie Topper of Albany; one sister, Lena Belle Stone of Nashville; one brother, Leon Warren of Homerville; two grandchildren, Derrick and Darlene Warren; three step grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 4 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. J. W. Dukes, III, Edgar Rowe, Junior Swain and Charlie Scarborough officiating. Buck Warren and Teresa Royals sang "Amazing Grace, "I'll Fly Away" and "I'll Meet You At the River." Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jimmy Bennett Randy Nash, Gregg Vickers, WIlliam Brooks, Steve Wight, Daryll Lott. Honorary pallbearers were Buck Browning, Alton Exum, Fred Akins, Jim Williams, Jimmy Lane, R. H. Warren, Wendell Kent, Warner Guthrie, Lamar Bennett, Edgar Parrish, Lannie Weaver, Wonnie Royals, Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
