Born October 30, 1928 in Berrien County to the late George Washington and Nettie Irene Roberson Rowan, she was a homemaker and paraprofessional at Berrien Elementary School. She was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church and was married to the late Samuel Lafayette Watson. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Snyder of Wellington, FL; two sons, Larry Watson and Tommy Watson, both of Nashville; one sister, Martha Nell Blackmon of Nashville; one brother, George W. Rowan, Jr. of Nashville; four grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 12 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Pickern officiating. Musical selections included "Beulah Land," "How Great Thou Art," "In The Garden," and "Amazing Grace," Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Outlaw, Lamar Poole, Jimmy Watson, Gary Rowan, Kevin Rowan, Roy Blackmon. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
