Born Feb. 16, 1913, in Berrien County to the late W.F. (Frank) and Minnie V Vickery Nix, she was a homemaker and member of Poplar Springs Missionary B Baptist Church. She was the widow of William Curtis Watson and was also p preceded in death by two sons, Willie Frank Watson and J.E. Watson. Survivors include two daughters, Doris Summerlin of Starke, FL and Theresa Reardon of Leesburg; son, Russell Watson of Hampton, FL; daughters-in-law, Carolyn Watson of Ray City and Joan Watson of Graham, FL; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at Poplar Springs Missionary Bapt Baptist Church with the Revs. J.W. Dukes III, and Bill Watson officiating. The Popl Poplar Springs Church Choir, accompanied by Joyce Warren, pianist, sang "I Want Us t Us to Be Together in Heaven," "Victory in Jesus," and "Precious Memories." Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Grandson served as pallbearers. The family wishes to acknowledge the care given Mrs. Watson by Bethany Hospice. Lovein Funeral was in charge of arrangements.
