Watson Funeral services for Dr. Ralph H. Watson, 90, of Nashville, who died Friday, May 6, 1983, at Tift General Hospital, Tifton, were held Sunday, May 8, 4 p.m. at Nashville United Methodist Church. Dr. Terry DeLoach, pastor, assisted by Jim E. Perry, officiated. Mrs. N.G. Houston accompanied Mrs. Joy Williams who sang “Amazing Grace” and Jim E. Perry who sang “In The Garden.” Interment was in Westview Cemetery with active pallbearers including L.E. Watson III, Joel Watson, David DeLoach, David Muschamp, Hansel Morris and Russell McNabb. Honorary pallbearers were Don Williams, Hubert Warr, C.W. Anderson, F.M. Weeks, Ed Tygart, Vinson Luke, Pete Griner Jr., Dumps Griffin, Mark Hughes, A.D. Green, C.A. Jones and H.D. Hand. Born Feb. 20, 1893 in Meriwether County, he was the son of Robert Nicholas Watson and Molly Harmon Watson. He was married 65 years to Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth Franklin Watson of Nashville, who survives. Surviving also are a number of nieces and nephews. A retired pharmacist, Dr. Ralph owned and operated the Union Pharmacy for many years, was an Army Veteran of World War I and a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church.
