 Merle Griffin Webb, 93, of Waycross died April 11, 2010 at Crisp Regional Hos
Hospital in Cordele. 
A native of Berrien County, she had lived most of her adult life in Waycross. Kn
Known fondly by
many as one of "the Griffin girls," she was the youngest and only surviving d
daughter of the late James Talley and Fannie Taylor Griffin of Berrien County. S
She was a member of the former Memorial Baptist Church in Waycross. As a g
gentle, loving mother and homemaker, she was preceded in death by her husband o
of 48 years, Semion "Elcho" Webb, as well as by her much loved eight sisters.
 Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda Webb and Scott Hearn 
of Cordele and Kathy Webb and James Roberson of Columbus, OH; three 
granddaughters, Shelly Hearn Helms (Todd) of Cordele, Amy Roberson Banks 
(Shane), and Kelly Roberson Jones (Brad) of Columbus, OH; five great-grandchildren,
Karsen Helms, Haley Helms, Ethan Banks, Ella Jones, and Colin Jones, many nieces and
nephews and much loved close family friend, Connie Butler.
 A graveside service was held April 14, at 2 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
 Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
