Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Verone and Carolyn Weeks of Nashville and Dwaine and Stacey Weeks of Enigma; two daughters and one son-in- law, Kathy W. and Henry Bennett and Beth W. Fletcher, all of the West Berrien community; four brothers, Travis Hayes of Jonesboro, Edward Hayes of Griffin, Billy Hayes of Atlanta, Felton Hayes of Brookfield; four sisters, Nina Jean Purvis of West Berrien, Jimmie Drawdy and Joan Ziegler of Tifton, Betty Candy of Brookfield; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held January 17 at 4 p.m. at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home CHapel with the Revs. Jim Williams and Hody Rutland officiating. Junior Drawdy. Kristie Edge and Amanda Ford sang "My Mama's Prayer" and "Go Rest High on that Mountain." Rhonda Hand sang "Roses Will Bloom Again." Interment was in Ebenezer Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Dale Drawdy, Bud Moore, Tony Purvis, Sam Futch, Daryl Drawdy, Gary Weeks. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Griffin, Jimmy Parker, Tommy Fletcher, Ceder Bennett, Ottis Weeks. Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
