 Ottis “Jake” Weeks, 66, of Nashville died Nov. 30, 2011 at South Georgia M
Medical Center.
 Born Oct. 1, 1945, in Adel to the late Ethridge Hildred and Liddia Elizabeth 
Williams Weeks, he lived most of his life in Berrien County. He was a member of 
Liberty Baptist Church near Alapaha and was a farmer and equipment operator. He 
was an Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by brother,
Hildred
Hildred Weeks, and sister, Betty Goff.
 He is survived by his wife, Dorcas Hutchens Weeks of Nashville; two sons and 
daughters-in-law, Jason and Amanda Lingefelt of Sparks and Frederick and Sheila 
Ratliff of Fitzgerald; four daughters and sons-in-law, Derinda Blakey of N
Nashville, Laura and Jerry Smith of Berea, KY, Betty and Mickey Newberry of N
Nicholasville, KY, and Anna Marie and Rich Rita of Apopka, FL; sister, Carolyn S
Suggs of Vienna; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 2 at Liberty Baptist Church with 
Revs. Jimmy Parker and Greg Hester officiating, Jack and Betty Joiner 
sang “Amazing Grace,” “Precious Lord, Take My Hand” and “I Want Us To Be 
Together in Heaven.”
 Burial with military honors followed in the church cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Colby Barnes, Allen Bennett, Jason Lingefelt, Freddie 
Ratliff, Brandon Blakey, Sam Futch, Billy Williams, Billy Williams, Billy Woo
Woodard, Troy Goff, Rick Barnett.
Boone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
