White, 66, of Nashville died July 2, 2004 at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. Born April 24, 1938 in Shelby County, Texas to the late James Frank and Alma Holt White, he was a retired truck driver with Bayliner Corporation. An Army veteran and of Baptist faith, he was married to the late Eunive Thornton White. Survivors include one daughter, Faith Lovett of Sparks; one son, Jamie White of Nashville; two sisters, Laverne Barfield of LaRose, LA and Lula Belle Bailey of San Augustine, TX; five grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 5 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral home with the Revs. Steve Pickern and Dwight Bishop officiating. Musical selections included "Just a Closer Walk With Thee" and "Life's Railway to Heaven." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ronald Griner, Tommy Hurst, Tommy Fletcher, Randall Brady, Stanley Bennett, Albert Gronto, Eugene Griffin, Randy Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Willie James Doe, J.H. Exum, Jr., Stacy Griffin, Doc Griffin, Richard Brady, Wayne Lindsey, Gary Schofield, Steve Hall. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
