Talmadge “Buddy” Wilcox, 78, of Sparks died August 10, 2013, at Langdale Ho
Hospice House in Valdosta.
 He was born August 13, 1934, in Douglas and lived the past 16 years in Sparks. H
He was a retired electrician with the Jacksonville Electrical Authority in J
Jacksonville, FL, and he attended Forest hill Freewill Baptist Church in Adel.
 He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Libby and Ricky Watson of Ray 
City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Teri Wilcox of Jacksonville and 
Dennis and Michelle Wilcox of Colorado Springs, CO; 15 grandchildren, 16
great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Bovine, and half
grandchildren; a sister, Helen Bovine, and half-sister, Lisa Wilcox, both of 
Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Gurley Wilcox; 
his father, Thomas Jefferson Wilcox, his mother, Lucy Merritt Douglas his
step-father, Loran Douglas; his step
father, Loran Douglas; his step-mother, Winnie Wilcox; grandchild, Jesse C
Clement; and two brothers, Vernon and James Wilcox. 
 Funeral services were held August 15 at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Freewill 
Baptist Church in Adel with Rev. Mitchell Deems and Rev. Carl Morrison 
officiating. Special musical selections included “Daddy’s Hands,” “Grandpa,” and 
and “Go Rest High on that Mountain.”
 Interment was in the church cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Jeff Wilcox, “Little Kenny” Wilcox, Randy Taft, Tommy Wilcox,
Jeremy 
Jeremy Paulk, Craig Gurley.
 Boone Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
