Born August 15, 1941 in Berrien County to the late Calvin and Carolyn Aurelia Richardson Williams, he was a retired maintenance supervisor with the J.H. Harvey Co. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dean Giddens Williams of Nashville; one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Christi Williams of Nashville; grandchildren, Meg Williams and Drew Nix, both of Nashville; four brothers, Billy Williams of Alapaha, Preston Williams of Lenox, Vernon Williams of Enigma, Wycliff Williams of Clyattville; five sisters, Faye McCluskey, Wanda Snow and Linda Kay Curry, Beverly Ann Davis, all of West Berrien, Jackie Pearman of Tifton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Imogene Rogers. Funeral services were held March 21 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Jackie Connell and Don Williams officiating. The congregation sang "Amazing Grace," and Joey Williams and Wendy Browning sang "Lights of Home" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain," accompanied by Faye Connell. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
