 Ellen V. Willis, 101, of Nashville, passed away on October 8, 2014, at Berrien 
Nursing Center in Nashville.
 She was born on August 9, 1913, in Clay County, AL to the late J. R. and Mattie 
(Morgan) Carpenter. She and her husband lived in Winter Haven, FL until 1951 
when they moved to Nashville where they farmed together. She was a member of 
Pine Grove Baptist Church in the West Berrien community of Nashville. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Alton Theodore Willis, Sr., her son, A.T. 
Willis, four sisters and three brothers.
 Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Willis of Nashville; 
grandchildren, Samantha Willis, Dee Ann and Craig Patterson of Nashville; great-
grandchildren, Kayla McLain and Lindsey Register.
 Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on October 11 at Leila United Methodist 
Church Cemetery in Ellenton in Colquitt County.
 In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity. 
 Lovein Funeral Home of Nashville and Music Funeral Services of Lakeland were in 
charge of arrangements.
