 John Eston Wilson, 78, of Nashville died June 9, 2012, at his residence after a
a lengthy illness.
 Born November 2, 1933, to Lizzie Kate Davis Wilson of Tifton and the late 
Garnet Lee Wilson, he was a warehouse manager with Harvey's Grocery Company 
before retiring and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded i
in death by his wife, Melba Hancock Wilson.
 Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy 
and Kathy Wilson of Nashville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jean and Bobby 
Bobby Hall of Nashville, and Wanda Lawson of Littleton, CO; two grandchildren, Wes
Wi
Wes Wilson and Chris and Melissa Wilson; several nieces and nephews. He was preced
preceded in death by a son, Hue Wilson and brother, Jimmie Lee Wilson.
 Funeral services were held June 11 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Revs.

 Interment followed in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
 Active pallbearers were Allen Carter, Randy Hall, Chad Vickers, Josh Curry, Rob
Robert Curry, James Smith.
 Musical selections on CD were "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus," "When We All Get to He
Heaven," and "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven With You."
 Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
