 Mrs. Odell Brown Wood, 90, of Tifton, died Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Tift 
Regional Medical Center.
 She was born September 22, 1925, in Cook County to the late Charlie and Nancy 
Melissa Baldree Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude 
Benny Wood, Sr.; one brother, Aaron Brown; three sisters, Inez Bryan, Sara Dixon 
and Irene McFarland; one son-in-law, Wayne Giddings; and two great 
grandchildren.
 Mrs. Wood lived most of her life in Berrien County and was a former resident of 
Kell Town. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Grove Church of God. Mrs. 
Wood was a farmer’s wife who enjoyed fishing, traveling, quilting and caring for 
her grandchildren. She enjoyed her trips to Europe with her daughter but most of 
all, she had a special love for her family and enjoyed the time she spent with 
them.
 Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Rose Wood and Junior 
and Sandra Wood, of Tifton; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary and Dan 
Broome and Betty Giddings, of Tifton and Joann and Bill Boozer of Simpsonville, 
SC; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and 
many nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 8 in the chapel of 
Albritton Funeral Directors with Dr. Mike Carter officiating.
 Interment was in Oaky Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien 
County.
 Pallbearers were Tommy Barry, Bo Boazman, Kason Holyoak, Dawson Patterson, Chad 
Branch and Bill Wilson.
Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 
412 1st St., S.E., Moultrie, GA 31768.
 Albritton Funeral Directors, Tifton was in charge of arrangements.
