Young of Bartow, Fla., were held from the Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church at 3 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon, October 8. Mrs. Young died in Bartow on the preceding Saturday afternoon, October 5. Officiating at the last rite were the Reverends Fred Hesters and Roy Gaskins. With Mrs. Judy Adams accompanying at the piano, a quartet composed of Elwood Graham, Leven Pafford, Marion Pafford, and Elias Pafford, sang three familiar hymns: Precious Memories, On That Glad Reunion Day, and How Beautiful Heaven Must Be. Interment followed in the family plot of the churchyard cemetery with the active escort of Raymond Odom, Ferris Nobles, Bill Nobles, Julian Adams, Eugene Adams, and Troy Griner accompanying. Mrs. Young’s survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Barber, Jacksonville, Fla., and two sons, B.H. Miller, a resident of California, and Les Miller, Jr., Nashville. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Mackie Adams, Adel; four sisters, Mrs. Mollie Thornton, Avon, N.R., Mrs. Ruth Nobles, Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Bessie Griner, Bartow, Fla., and Mrs. Corine Odom, Lakeland. There are also nine grandchildren. All local arrangements were by Lovein Funeral Home.
