Born October 10, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Charlie and Clyide Moore Sirmans, she was a retired bookkeeper and member of Southland Church. She was a volunteer for Hospice, the Humane Society, and the Southland Church Food Pantry. She was married to the late James Zipperer. Survivors include son, Chris Gaither of Nashville; three daughters, Dawn Rocheleau and Sharon Knea, both of Valdosta, Darlene Dedge of Naylor; one sister, Charlene Brantley of Valdosta; one brother, Charles Sirmans, Sr,; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 9 at 11 a.m. at McLane Riverview Mausoleum Chapel with the Revs. Lee Barnes and Doug Griner officiating. Interment followed in the mausoleum. Carson McLane Funeral Home of Valdosta was in charge of arrangements.
