My gr-gr-grandmother was Jennie ANDREWS who married
1)ROSS, 2)LaVARRE and 3) McGREGOR in Macon, Georgia.
One of her sons William J. LaVARRE married Lelia Goddin
HAYNES in Richmond, Va.

Lewis Holcombe ANDREWS was Jennie's brother. Although
he was born in NY, Lewis was in Macon, Ga. from the
mid-1840s to the late 1860s. As a very young man, Lewis
served for the Confederate Army as a Sgt. Major in Co.
C, 8th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. 

Later, Lewis married 1) Alice Baynham ROYSTON of
Caroline County, Va. (daughter of Marshall ROYSTON and
Martha CASH) and 2)Ann Winston BUTLER of Richmond, Va.
(daughter of William Fleming BUTLER and Virginia Judith
WINSTON). He made his family's home in Richmond, Va.
All placement, spellings and inconsistencies are from
the typed text. 

Note "Our Mother" is listed with her married name
ANDREWS, not BUTLER, as is Alice B. ANDREWS in the
listing of her death. Capitalization of surnames for
emphasis is mine.

James Watson ANDREWS was born in the City of Richmond,
Va. on the Seventh of January, 1880.

Allen Calhoun ANDREWS was born in the City of Richmond,
Va. on the Twelfth of January, 1883.

Ann Winston ANDREWS was born in the City of Richmond,
Va. on the thirty-first of October, 1889.

Mary Kyle ANDREWS was born in the City of Richmond, Va.
on the Twenty-fifth of January, 1892.

Our Father Lewis Holcombe ANDREWS was born in the City
of New York on the Tenth of September 1835.

Our Mother Ann Winston ANDREWS was born in the City of
Richmond, Va. On the Twenty-second of February 1851.


Births 

Marshall Holcombe ANDREWS was born in the City of
Macon, Georgia, on the 29th of October. 1867.


Gray ANDREWS was born in the City of Richmond, Va. on
the22d of March, 1869.

Elton Maud ANDREWS was born in the City of Richmond,
Va. on the 20th of January, 1871.

Lewis Coleman ANDREWS was born in the City of Richmond,
Va. on the 31st of May, 1872.

Robert Maguire ANDREWS was born in the City of
Richmond, Va. on the 10th of Novr., 1878.

Fannie Winston ANDREWS was born in the City of
Richmond, Va. on the 23d of July, 1880.

Charles Morrison ANDREWS was born in the City of
Richmond, Va. on the 24th of December, 1881.

Kate ANDREWS was born in the City of Richmond, Va. on
the 23d of May, 1884.

Marriages 

Lewis H. ANDREWS and ALice B. ROYSTON were united in
marriage in Fauquier Co., Virginia on the 1st day of
January, 1867 by Rev. Mr. Wyer.

Lewis H. ANDREWS and Annie W. BUTLER were united in
marriage in Richmond, Va., on the 18th day of December,
1877 by Rev. Wm. N. Scott.

Deaths 

Elton Maude ANDREWS Died in the City of Richmond, Va.,
on Sunday, March 30th, 1873 at 10 o'clock P.M., Aged
Two Years and Two Months.

My Wife Alice Baynham ANDREWS Died at "Ingleside" in
the County of Fauquier, Va., On Friday, May 8th, 1874,
at 2 o'clock P.M., Aged Thirty Years, Four Months and
Eight Days.

Our Father Lewis Holcombe ANDREWS Died in the City of
Richmond, Va., on Thursday, March 6, 1913, at 11:15
o'clock A.M., Aged Seventy-Seven Years, Five Months and
Twenty-Four Days.
