Psalms 53 2-3, pg. 483. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Everyone of them is gone back: they are altoghether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (This circled and underlined) Psalms 103-12, pg. 504. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. (circled and underlined) Isaiah 53-6, pg. 589. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (circled and underlined) St. Matthew 1-21, pg. 3. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins. (circled and underlined, two words written that have been blacked out) St. Matthew 11-28, pg. 12. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (circled and underlined) St. Matthew 16-25, pg. 18. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. (Heavily starred) Luke 12-16-20, pg. 68. And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater: and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided. (circled and underlined) Luke18-9-13, pg. 75. And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon hi breast saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. (underlined and circled) Luke 19-14, pg. 76. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. St. John1-12-13, pg. 84. /That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 3-16-18, pg. 86 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He that believeth on him is not condemned:, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only bnegotten Son of God. (God, I have given my sons unto you) Note: Three of Mr. Miller's sons were in WWII, one killed, one paralyzed, one returned. John 20-19-22, pg. 106 Peace be unto you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: ("Peace, John") note: John is the son killed in France during WWII. Romans 1-16, pg. 139. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jews first, and also to the Greek. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? Romans 7-18, pg. 143. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. Galatians 3-1-2, pg. 171. Foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith? Ephesians 5-18-19, pg. 177. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit, Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hyms and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 4-4, pg. 181 Finally Brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Timothy 4-2, pg. 189. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. James 1-8, pg. 205 A double minded man is unstable in all ways. John I. 3-15, pg. 215. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer; and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. William Verdery Miller, his wife and all his children with the exception of Harry Miller, are buried Macon Memorial Park, in Macon, Ga. He lived in Waycross, Ga, where my grandmother, Sadie Verona Miller, was born, prior to moving to Macon. It is believed he came to Waycross, from Augusta, Savannah or Brunswick. I am searching for the parents of both William Verdery Miller and Verona Catherine Weber. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 7.3 Kb
