The reason there is a question mark behind the name I have shown for this cemetery is due to I could find no other name posted anywhere or anyone that knew a name for this particular location. Hazzard Church is located on Heath Road in west Bibb County. The church is approximately one mile from Thomaston Road on Heath Road on the left side of the roadway and sitting back off the roadway about fifty yards. There is a small plot of grave markers and headstones directly behind the church, however, that is not where I am writing about for this particular listing. I believe that over time the original cemetery for this church was either forgotten or just dismissed due to older persons dying and younger people in the family not being interested in the location. The location I am posting is located directly behind Weaver Middle School on Heath Road and into the wooded area located behind the school. This is a completely black person cemetery as far as I can tell. There is no signs or even a road that runs to the location. I am putting GPS coordinates that is approximately in the middle of where the cemetery is located. 32 degrees 51.783N, 083 degrees 44.287W, 526 ft. There are only four readable markers in the complete cemetery. There are, however at least between fifty and one-hundred sunken spots that are in line with each other in various areas indicating burial lines. There are small stones between four and six inches wide and long placed in many locations where these sunken spots are, at the top and bottom of the sunken areas. This indicates a marking for a grave as I have seen in other older cemeteries. I have been unable to locate anyone who has information on this location. The last person buried there was in 1966 as best I can tell. Below is the listing of the only readable markers. I have also photographed these markers. Documented January 2005 by James W.
