Directions to get to the cemetery starting from I-475 at U.S. 80 (Eisenhower Parkway) heading west is to turn left off of U.S. 80 at its intersection with Knoxville Road. Plaudit Road is a paved road now that runs off to the left of Knoxville Road approximately 100 yards down Knoxville Road from U.S. 80. Go down Plaudit Road approximately 100 yards and on the left will be the driveway for 4190 Plaudit Road. There is a mailbox with these numbers. Just before the mailbox is a dirt roadway that runs parallel to the driveway for about 100 feet before running into the fence enclosing the cemetery. The GPS coordinates at the entrance to the cemetery are 32 degrees 49.413N, 083 degrees 44.490W, 563 ft. This documentation took place on February 12, 2005 by James W. Allen. Below is a listing of the names taken from a large marker in the center of the cemetery. I could only locate seventeen (17) actual stone grave markers within this plot. The photos I took will show this cemetery to be very overgrown with weeds and not well cared for by anyone. The fence had an opening for a gate, but there was no gate. _________________________________________________________________ The title on the large marker is: TIDWELL FAMILY CEMETERY Just under this title bar is the names: Tidwell, Hugh Millen b: 1799 in S.C. d: 30 November 1869 Tidwell, Nancy Strawbridge b: 1810 in S.C. d: 7 September 1893 There are four (4) columns of names below their names.
