Georgia, Bibb County.
	This indenture made this the Twenty first day of October Eighteen 
hundred and Thirty four between James Alston Senr. of the one part of the County 
and State aforesaid and Royal Lockett of the County of Baldwin of the other 
part:
	Witnesseth, for and in consideration of the sum of Forty five hundred 
dollars in hand paid, the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said James 
Alston, Senr. hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell, 
all that 
	Tract or parcel of land containing Six hundred acres situated and being 
in the Thirteenth district originally Monroe now Bibb County and Number part Two 
hundred and sixty six (266) Two hundred and sixty seven (267) and part of Two 
hundred and sixty eight (268) and part of the Tucker tract of land adjoining Two 
hundred and sixty eight.  
Together with all the rights members and appurtenances to the only proper use, 
benefit and behoof of the said Royal Locket and the said James Alston, Senr. for 
himself, his heirs, and assigns, the said bargained premises unto the said Royal 
Locket, his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend free from the 
claim of himself and all and every other person or persons whomsoever in witness 
whereof the said James Alston Sr. hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his 
seal the day and date first written.
