State Of Georgia, Bibb County.
	
	This Indenture, Made the  Eighth day of November , in the year of Lord 
One Thousand Eight Hundred and  Eighty Three,  between  Nancy S. Carstarphen		 
of the County of Bibb of the one part, and Thomas J. Carstarphen		 
of the County of Bibb, of the other part:  Witnesseth that the said  Nancy S. 
Carstarphen		 for and in consideration of the sum of Five  hundred 
dollars	 in hand paid at and before sealing and delivery of these presents, the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath  granted, bargained, sold, aliened, 
conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, 
convey and confirm unto the said   Thomas J. Carstarphen		heirs 
and assigns, all	that tract or parcel of land situate, lying & being in 
the 13th, thirteenth, district originally Monroe, now Bibb County, being a part 
of South part of lot of land No. 309, three hundred and nine, bounded East by 
the Dr. Thomson land, North by lands of T. H. Tucker, West by lands of W. A. 
Evans Estate and South by Anna Thomas' land, containing eight acres more or 
less.  

To Have and to Hold  the said tract or parcel of land with all and singular 
rights, members and appurtenances thereto appertaining, to the only proper use, 
benefits and behoof of him, the said Thomas J. Carstarphen, his heirs, 
executors, administrators and assigns, in Fee Simple: and the said  Nancy S. 
Carstarphen the said bargained tract or parcel of land unto the said Thomas J. 
Carstarphen, his heirs executors, administrators and assigns, against the said 
Nancy S. Carstarphen, her heirs, executors and administrators, and against all 
and every other person or persons, shall and will warrant and forever defend, by 
virtue of these presents
In Witness Whereof, the said Nancy S. Carstarphen has hereunto set her hand, 
affixed her seal, and delivered these presents the day and year first above 
written.
