J. Carstarphen of the County of Bibb of the one part, and Henry J. Thomas of the County of Bibb of the other part: Witnesseth, That the said T. J. Carstarphen for and in consideration of the sum of Seven hundred dollars, cash in hand paid , at and before the sealing and delivery of those presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said Henry J. Thomas heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel land situate lying and being in the (13th) Thirteenth district originally Monroe now Bibb County adjoining lands of T. H. Tucker and lands belonging to the W. A. Evans estate and A. B. Thomas being lot No. (1) one by recent survey containing eighty acres more or less. To Have and to Hold the said Tract or parcel of land with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereto appertaining, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him, the said Henry J. Thomas, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in Fee Simple: and the said Thomas J. Carstarphen the said bargained premises unto the said Henry J. Thomas, heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, against the said Thomas J. Carstarphen, his heirs, executors, administrators, and against all and every other person or persons, shall and will warrant and forever defend, by virtue of those presents. In Witness Whereof, The said Thomas J. Carstarphen has hereunto set his hand, affixed his seal, and delivered these presents the day and year above written.
