This Indenture made the fifteenth day of February in the
year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred & thirty
seven & in the (blank) year of the Independence of the
United States of America between Leroy M. Wiley Thomas W.
Baxter & Farish Carter of the one part & John Martin of
the other part.

Witnesseth that the said Leroy M Thos W. & Farish for and
in consideration of the sum of Three hundred dollars to
them in hand paid at & before the sealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have granted bargained sold aliened conveyed & confirmed
& by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien convey
& Confirm unto the said John Martin his heirs & assigns
all that parcel of land lying & being in the City of
Macon & being part of lot number one in Square number
twenty on commencing at a point fifty Eight feet from
second Street & four feet from Cherry Street & running
thence parallel with Cherry Street five feet more or less
to I.W. Baldwins line & thence running back parallel with
Second Street sixty feet more or less thence towards
Second Street until it intersects the line of H___
Martins lot thence along said line until it reaches the
beginning point ~ 

To have and to hold the said lot of land with all &
Singular the rights members & appurtenances thereof
whatsoever to the said lot of land belonging being
belonging or in any wise appertaining with the remainder
or remainders reversion & reversions rents Issues profits
thereof to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him
the said John Martin his heirs Executors Administrators &
assigns in Fee Simple & the said Leroy W. Wiley Thos W.
Baxter & Farish Carter their heirs Executors &
administrators the said bargained lot of land unto the
said John Martin his heirs executors administrators &
assigns against the said ~ heirs executors administrators
& all and every other person or person shall & will
warrant & forever defend by virtue of these presents.

In witness whereof the said Leroy M. Wiley by his
Attorney, Thos W. Baxter Thos W. Baxter & Farish Carter
have hereunto set their hands, affixed their seals the
day & year first above written.
