Witnesseth that I the said Harrison Smith for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty dollars to me in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold unto the said William Scott his heirs and assigns All that tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the Thirteenth District of Monroe, now Bibb County, it being part of the Fraction No (5) on the Macon Reserve, Commencing at a lightwood stake at the center of lot No. (11) Eleven, running N18¾ W fifty Rods to a lightwood stake, thence North Seventy Eight rods to a post at the mouth of Childers & Smiths Lane, containing forty three acres be the same more or less. Together with all and Singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the only use, benefit and behoof of him the said William Scott his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple, And I the said Harrison Smith for myself my heirs Exrs & administrators do warrant and defend the right and title of said tract or parcel of land forever unto him the said Scott his heirs &c from the claim of all persons whatsoever.
