Hunter, Charles Williamson and Anderson Rice Justices of the Inferior Court of the County of Bibb and State aforesaid of the one part, and Harrison Smith of the County of Bibb and State aforesaid of the other part: Witnesseth that the said Justices as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents (and by the powers in them vested as Justices of the Inferior Court of the County of Bibb aforesaid, and by an act of the Legislature of the State of Georgia passed the twenty Second day of December Eighteen hundred and twenty Seven authorizing the Justices as aforesaid to sell lots in the Town of Macon in said County) do grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said Harrison Smith his heirs and assigns All that Lot or parcel of Land in the Town of Macon containing half and acre more or less known as Lot number One in the Fortieth Square. To have and to hold said Lot or parcel of Land, with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said Lot or parcel of Land being belonging or in any wise appertaining with the remainder or remainders revision and revisions, rents, issues and profits thereof, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him the said Harrison Smith, his heirs Executors administrators & assigns in fee simple; And the said Justices as aforesaid the said bargained Lot of Land unto the said Harrison Smith his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against the said Timothy Mathews, Luke Ross, Charles Williamson, Samuel B. Hunter and Anderson Rice Justices as aforesaid or their successors in office, and all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said Timothy Mathews, Luke Ross, Samuel B.
