(a) Civil: Entered service Confederate States in May 1861 as Orderly Sergeant 
Co. B, 12th Ga. Regt. Promoted successively to first lieut; captain, Major & 
Lieut. Col. 12th Ga. regt. Captured at battle Spottsylvania, Virginia 8th May 
1864 and held as prisoner of war at Fort Delaware until the latter part of 
July 1865. was ranking officer at time of capture & entitled to the c___ of 
the regiment. 
(b) Military: the above should have been entered here. 
(c) Positions in religious or educational work, with dates: 
Superintendent Sunday School at Mulberry St. Church Macon & Vineville over 20 
years.  Member of General Conference M E Church South, in 1878 at Atlanta, 
Georgia, and in 1882 at Nashville, Tenn. 
Trustee Wesleyan Female College-Have been a member of Board Education Bibb 
Co., Ga. Trustee Orphans Home South Ga. Conference.
