These men are brothers-in-law, having married two sisters. The occurrence took place in Cherry’s store, on the upper part of Cotton avenue, in the presence of Cherry’s wife, who endeavored to prevent the difficulty, and was near being killed herself- the first shot having through the sleeve of her dress.
