Death of Mr. Wm. Deitz

Our friend and neighbor, Mr. John G. Deitz, has just received intelligence of 
his venerable father, Mr. Wm. Deitz, which occurred in Philadelphia at five 
o’clock Monday afternoon.  The deceased was born on Easter Sunday in the year 
1797, consequently was nearing his 79th birthday-a longer time than is usually 
allotted to man.  His widow, a venerable lady, still survives, being just 
convalescing from what was feared to be a dangerous illness.
