YARBROUGH FAMILY REUNION HELD SATURDAY

Two members of The Leader force were among the fortunate ones present at the 
reunion of the family of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Yarbrough held at their home 
near Lamar last Saturday. This venerable couple have been living there for 
many years and are now nearing their seventy-ninth milestone, loved and 
honored by all who know them.

Mr. and Mrs. Yarbrough have had the good fortune to rear their nine 
children, seven sons and two daughters, and to see them take their places in 
life as good and useful citizens. They are Mrs. J.L. McCarley of Woodland; 
W.L. Yarbrough of San Antonio, Texas; James J. Yarbrough of Headland, Ala.; 
John T. Yarbrough Jr. of Crossville in Marshall County; Dr. C.A. Yarbrough 
of Macon Georgia; Mrs. W.H. Crouch of Shawnee, Okla; P.H. Yarbrough of 
Lamar; Robert T. Yarbrough of Lamar; G.W. Yarbrough of Berry, Ala. All were 
present with members of their families except P.H. Yarbrough who as absent 
on account of his wife's illness.

Fifty persons, nearly all connected with the family, representing four 
generations, were present upon this happy occasion to partake of the fine 
fellowship and the bountiful refreshments afforded. The editor was 
especially pleased to meet again his fine friends of other years, the 
patriach of the tribe of Yarbrough who with his good companion, has 
contributed so much, through their own efforts and their children, to the 
welfare of their country.
