Thomas Fullan's Invention September 4, 1897 M. Thomas Fullan, the industrious mechanical engineer of Macon, had made an important discovery in the art of generating acetylene gas. He has applied his knowledge in such a way as to produce an improved machine foe the process, and the gas is becoming one of the most important illuminate. Photometric and pyrometric test have shown that the gas, as made by Mr. Fullan's process has an extremely low heating effect and the most brilliant effulgence. Mr. Fullan is one of Macon's progressive scientists, and has recently been appointed to the position of assistant professor in the mechanical department of mechanical engineering at the Alabama Polytechnic Institute, Auburn Ala., and will leave in a few days for his work.He has a brilliant future, and those who have watched his new invention believe that his fortune is made.
