September 30, 1901 The Confederate veterans of Georgia will meet in annual reunion at Macon October 23 and 24 and the largest delegation that has ever attended from Atlanta is expected to go in a body. General A. J. West has issued a call addressed to all members of the Georgia division and has assured them a royal welcome awaits all of the ????? at Macon. The call is as follows: Headquarters North Georgia Brigade, U. C. V. Atlanta, GA., Oct. 2, 1901. -- To the Officers, Camps and Members of the North Georgia Brigade, U. C. V. Comrades: Your attention is earnestly called to the coming reunion at Macon, Ga., October 23 and 24 of the Georgia division, U. C. V.'s. The beautiful Central City of Georgia, Macon, was selected for this year's reunion, and her patriotic people have spared neither time, money or work to give you an old- fashioned Georgia welcome. They have left nothing undone for your comfort, pleasure and happiness. The railroads have made low rates and perhaps the largest number that has ever attended a state reunion will be present. The brigadier general commanding confidenly believes and expects this brigade to maintain its well established record in being present, organized and equipped as on all former occasions. By Order. Andrew J. West Brigadier General Commanding. Official: Joseph S. Alford. Acting Adjutant General and Chief of Staff.
