R.E. Park Buried In Macon Remains Now Repose Near Old Confederate Fortification Macon, Ga., 28 – The remains of Captain R.E. Park, late State Treasurer, were brought to Macon at noon yesterday from Atlanta for interment in Riverside Cemetery. The body now reposes on the family lot near the old Confederate fortifications. No services marked the change of resting place from Atlanta. Captain Park had expressed a desire in his will to be buried in Macon. Many happy associations in the life of the late State Treasurer connect him with this city. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.2 Kb
