Macon- Dorothy S. Abercrombie, age 71, of Macon, died Wednesday, January 30, 
2002 in a local hospital.  Graveside Services were Friday, Feb. 1, 2002 in 
Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2 p.m.  Mrs. Abercrombie was born in 
Muscogee County, GA on October 1, 1930, and lived most of her life in Macon.  
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day 
Saints amd was a life time member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the VFW Post 
#658.   Survivors included her husband, Thomas Z. Abercrombie, Jr. of Macon, 
Children: Randy Abercrombie of Jones County, Gayle Thrift of Jones County, and 
Sammy Storey of Capitola, CA;  four grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 
mother, Pauline Gore of Salt Lake City, UT and two sisters.   The family had 
visitation on Thursday, January 31, 2002 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Crest 
Lawn Funeral Home.
